Sawyer Rowe is an author of speculative and science fiction best described as biting—she's not afraid to have her characters feel uncomfortably human. Whether it is through unflinching dystopian and post-apocalyptic worlds, the potential of alien lifeforms, or a world that mirrors our own, she aims to leave the reader asking: "Is this even science fiction?"

Sawyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with minors in English and Ancient History from Macquarie University, and is currently a master's student in Creative Writing. She was accepted into the 2025 Kill Your Darlings Mentorship program, and her debut novel, Foreign Bodies, releases in November.
